Projects aimed at the digitalisation of the network to reduce water losses.
The project involves the application of measures aimed at reducing losses in water distribution networks, in compliance with the provisions of the call to tender. The second level implementing entity is RTI Acque del Chiampo S.p.A. Benefit Corporation and Medio Chiampo S.p.A. of ATO Valle del Chiampo, which manages the Integrated Water Service in the 13 municipalities of the valley. The project concerns a population served by the water service of over 100,000 inhabitants. All the measures are aimed at reducing losses through the digitalisation and monitoring of the water networks managed. The project entails splitting into districts a total of 879 km of network by 31/03/2026 with a reduction in the M1b loss indicator of 36%.

Sewerage and treatment investments.
The project falls within the 1st lot 1st section of the final project approved with environmental impact assessment provision DGRV 913/2016 and involves the construction of two sedimentation basins for the sludge from residential oxidation-nitrification, in addition to the two existing sedimentation tanks, in order to manage the increased hydraulic load from the civil sewerage system. As regards electromechanical equipment, the solution selected includes a sludge collection device based on the back and forth movement of hydrodynamically shaped bottom blades. The sludge collected at the bottom is then removed with a system that ensures its continuous removal and this is done by means of a series of pipes arranged vertically along the entire width of the tank: by exploiting the siphon effect, the sludge is sucked through the pipes and conveyed to a common sludge channel.
